First Intuition: Five Years at Pennine Five

Celebrating five years of growth, opportunity and community in Sheffield

This October, First Intuition will celebrate a major milestone – five years based at Pennine Five in Sheffield.

Since making Pennine Five its Sheffield home, First Intuition has become an established part of the campus community, helping ambitious learners build the skills, qualifications and confidence they need to progress in their careers.

First Intuition is a leading provider of accountancy and professional training, supporting learners through qualifications and apprenticeships while working closely with employers across the region. Its Sheffield team is based on the 10th floor of Block 5, overlooking the growing Pennine Five campus.

Five years of growth

First Intuition was one of the original occupiers to take space at Pennine Five as the former HSBC office campus began its transformation into a modern, diverse business community.

Five years on, the campus has evolved considerably.

What was once a largely vacant office complex is now home to a growing mix of businesses, education providers, technology companies and professional organisations. The arrival of the central plaza, flexible workspace and new businesses has created a much more connected environment – providing opportunities for people and organisations on site to meet, collaborate and build relationships.

First Intuition has been part of that journey from the beginning.

A home for learning

Location is particularly important for an organisation focused on education and career development.

Pennine Five provides First Intuition with a prominent city-centre location, excellent public transport connections and a professional environment in which learners can develop their skills.

The campus is just a short walk from Sheffield city centre and around four minutes from Cathedral tram stop, making it accessible for learners travelling from across Sheffield and the wider region.

Being part of Pennine Five also places First Intuition alongside other organisations involved in education, innovation and business. The Sheffield College, for example, has developed a significant adult learning presence on the campus, creating a natural connection between education, training and employment.

More than just a workplace

Over the past five years, Pennine Five has developed into more than a collection of office buildings.

The creation of the central plaza has introduced an important social and community space at the heart of the campus, designed to encourage people to meet, relax and collaborate.

For First Intuition, being part of this growing community means being surrounded by organisations with a shared focus on people, skills, innovation and opportunity.

Today, Pennine Five is also recognised as part of Sheffield’s Innovation Spine, with the campus bringing together established businesses, education providers and ambitious technology companies.

Looking ahead

Five years is an important milestone, but for First Intuition it is also the beginning of the next chapter.

As the organisation continues to support the next generation of accountancy professionals across Sheffield and Yorkshire, Pennine Five provides a strong platform from which to grow.
